WordPress migrations Free · Unlimited · Done by an engineer

Move every WordPress site you own.
We'll do the boring bit.

Send us your old host's credentials. An engineer migrates the site, runs a parity check, and points DNS — most go live within 24 hours, with zero downtime.

What we migrate

Single sites. Whole portfolios.
Entire servers.

Every plan includes free, unlimited, engineer-driven migrations. There is no concierge fee, no "premium migration" upsell, and no surprise hourly bill at the end.

01

Single WordPress site, end-to-end

Database, uploads, themes, plugins, mu-plugins, custom wp-config constants, .htaccess rules. We rebuild it byte-for-byte on our stack and run a parity diff before swapping DNS.

  • Themes & plugins (active state preserved)
  • Media library + replaceable URLs
  • Custom post types & taxonomies
  • Multisite networks (subfolder & subdomain)
02

Whole portfolios, in bulk

Got 20 client sites scattered across SiteGround, WP Engine, and someone's old cPanel? We move them all under one team, one login, one renewal. Bulk migrations run in parallel — the queue length doesn't change the per-site turnaround.

  • Up to 50 sites in parallel
  • One unified team dashboard
  • Per-client billing on Agency plans
  • Staging links for sign-off
03

WooCommerce, with orders intact

Orders, customers, subscriptions, gateway tokens, shipping zones, inventory snapshots. We freeze checkout for the swap window, replay anything that hits the old host, and reconcile. Average store downtime: under 90 seconds.

  • Order & subscription history
  • Stripe / PayPal token continuity
  • Variation product images
  • Stock counter sync
04

From cPanel, shared hosting, or anywhere

Bluehost, GoDaddy, HostGator, SiteGround, Cloudways, WP Engine, Kinsta, Pressable, Flywheel — we have a runbook for each. Even legacy shared hosts where the only access is FTP and a phpMyAdmin export. Send us what you've got; we figure out the rest.

  • cPanel backup (.tar.gz)
  • FTP/SFTP + database dump
  • UpdraftPlus / Duplicator archive
  • Read-only SSH into a live box
05

Full-server lift & shift

Running your own VPS or dedicated box on DigitalOcean, Vultr, Linode, or Hetzner? We rebuild the equivalent environment on our stack, sync the data continuously until cut-over, then swap. No more managing your own NGINX configs at 2 AM.

  • NGINX / Apache config translation
  • Cron jobs & supervisor units
  • Email-sending stack (SMTP, DKIM)
  • External Redis / MariaDB endpoints

Three steps. Zero downtime.

Most WordPress migrations finish overnight. We do the heavy lifting; you press one button to flip DNS at a time that suits you.

STEP 01 / SAME DAY

Send us the keys

Drop your old host's login (cPanel, WP admin, SFTP, or just an UpdraftPlus archive) into the secure intake form. We confirm what we've got and quote a realistic ETA in writing — usually within an hour.

STEP 02 / OVERNIGHT

We rebuild it on our stack

An engineer rebuilds the site in your account on a staging URL, replays the data, sets up SSL, warms the cache, and runs an automated parity check (response codes, hashes of every page). You get a staging link to click around.

STEP 03 / 30 SECONDS

You flip DNS, we monitor

One button in the dashboard updates DNS to point at us. We monitor the propagation window, replay any in-flight orders or comments hitting the old host, and stay on chat through the cut-over. If anything looks wrong, we roll back instantly.

Same runbook, your hands.

Install the HostingSimple Migration plugin on the source site, click Migrate, and watch the same workflow our engineers use run end-to-end from your WP admin. You can hand off mid-flow if anything goes sideways — we'll pick it up from where you left it.

  • Streaming database export (no PHP timeouts)
  • Resumable uploads sync over SFTP or rsync
  • Server-side search-replace (handles serialized data)
  • Automated parity diff before cut-over

FAQ

Migration questions, answered straight.

Is it really free? What's the catch?

Genuinely free, on every plan, including the $15 Starter. No concierge fee, no premium migration tier. The catch — if you want to call it that — is that we expect you to stay around for a year. If you migrate three sites in and cancel after a month, we'll politely ask why.

How long does it actually take?

Average single-site WordPress migration: 18 hours, end to end, including the staging review window. Bulk migrations (10+ sites) typically wrap in 48–72 hours. WooCommerce stores with active checkouts add 1–2 hours for order replay. We quote a real ETA in writing before starting.

What about downtime?

Zero, if you let us run the cut-over. We rebuild on a staging URL, swap DNS at the moment you choose, and keep the old origin warm for the propagation window so visitors hit either copy without noticing. WooCommerce stores get a 30–90 second checkout freeze; nothing else.

Will my plugins/themes still work?

Yes — including the licensed ones. The parity diff catches any plugin that's relying on the old host's specifics (a hard-coded path, an environment variable, a server-level cron). We patch those before cut-over and document what we changed.

What about emails sent from the site?

We migrate transactional email separately. If you're using a deliverability provider (Mailgun, SendGrid, Postmark, SES) we just re-key. If you're sending via the host's SMTP, we move you to our managed transactional service or set you up with one of the above — your choice.

Can I migrate from another HostingSimple plan?

Yes — and it's instant. Upgrades, downgrades, region moves, and consolidating personal accounts into agency teams all happen with one click in the dashboard, no engineer needed. Prorated billing.

What if something breaks after cut-over?

We monitor for 72 hours after every migration. If something breaks in that window, the engineer who did the migration fixes it — same person, same shift handover notes. After 72 hours it goes to general support, where the median chat reply is still under 2 minutes.

I'm on a managed host with proprietary stuff. Will it migrate?

Probably yes. WP Engine's Genesis features, Kinsta's APM, Pressable's Jetpack tier, Flywheel's Local sync — we've migrated all of them. The only things that don't move are vendor-locked CDN configurations, which we replicate with Cloudflare or our edge network instead.

Got an old host you'd rather not have?

Send us the credentials. We'll quote a real ETA within the hour, and the migration itself is on us.
