The company behind the hosting.

HostingSimple is a small, independent Delaware LLC. We run three regions on hardware we own, compete with multi-billion-dollar incumbents, and win on craft, transparency, and unreasonable attention to the boring details.

Where the servers live

Three regions.
Hardware we own.

We run on bare metal in carrier-neutral colocation, not on someone else's cloud. The same hardware design across all three regions.

Why we exist

WordPress hosting is a $7B industry that mostly sells overpriced shared hosting with a friendly logo on top. We thought there was room for a host that just did the work properly — an instance of your own rather than a crowded pool, free human migrations, real engineers on chat, a price that doesn't double on renewal.

We own our hardware, our racks, and our network. That's how the price math works — and it means when something breaks, the people fixing it are the people who built it. A small human team handles architecture, customer trust, and the hard calls; a fleet of AI agents handles the around-the-clock grunt work.

We eat our own dog food: every product page on this site is hosted on the infrastructure it describes.

How we got here

A short, honest
company timeline.

No revisionist history. The dates are real, the milestones are small.

2025 · Q3

Started, on a single box

Three founders, one bare-metal server in colocation, twelve friends-and-family sites migrated off SiteGround. First $500 in MRR.

2025 · Q4

Multi-region live

Ashburn (US-East) and London (EU-West) regions deployed. Public DirectAdmin + managed WP product lines. First 100 paying customers.

2026 · Q1

Agent ops in production

OpenClaw + n8n + Hermes stack moves from internal tools to customer-facing. First month with zero human-paged 3am incidents.

2026 · Q2

Stacks & agency

LLM, n8n, OpenClaw, Paperclip, Hermes hosting open beta. Agency tier launches at $149. White-label client portal goes GA.

Who runs it

A tiny human team,
with a deep agent bench.

We list every human and every category of agent. We don't put fake "team of 200" numbers on our site — we have three founders and a fleet.

Humans

Three founders

One infrastructure engineer (kernel + network + storage), one applied-AI engineer (agent orchestration + retrieval), one ex-agency-owner (does support, sales, and writes most of the docs you'll read). Names + photos on request — we keep them off the site by choice, not by oversight.

AI agents · ops

Monitoring & remediation

An OpenClaw cluster watches every site's TTFB, error rate, and resource use minute by minute. When something drifts, an agent investigates, files a ticket, and — for the 80% of incidents it's seen before — applies the fix. A human reviews everything that crosses the production line.

AI agents · support

First-tier chat

A Hermes assistant takes pre-sales and first-tier support chats. It has full read access to your account, your invoices, and our runbooks; it can answer 70% of questions end-to-end and routes the rest to a human. Always identifies itself as an agent. Reply time: under 2 minutes.

Principles

Four principles we
actually follow.

Not aspirational marketing. Specific commitments you can hold us to.

01 / Pricing honesty

The price you sign up at is the price you renew at.

No $2.99 intro that jumps to $14.99. No overage line items we hope you don't notice. If we want to charge more, we ship a new plan and let existing customers stay on the old one indefinitely.

02 / Real engineers

Every escalation reaches a human within 5 minutes.

Our AI first-tier identifies itself as an agent and routes anything novel to a human engineer. We measure handoff time; it's currently 1m 47s p50, 4m 12s p99.

03 / Own the stack

We run our own hardware in our own racks.

Not a wrapper around AWS or GCP. We own the boxes, we own the network, we own the relationship with the colocation facility. That's how the price math works.

04 / No lock-in

SSH on every plan. Your data is yours.

One-click export of your full site, database, and backups, any time. We make leaving as friction-free as joining — that's the only durable defence against complacency on our side.

See if we live up to it.

Move one site. If we're not measurably better, we'll move it back — free, both ways.
